I wrote a text adventure game in GW-BASIC circa 1987-88. I was going through some old files in 2003, dusting things off, and decided to update the game to a more portable (read: open) platform. I chose Inform. Thanks to emulators such as frobnitz, I was able to run an Inform 6 port of the game on a PalmOS treo 90. You can play it below with the ZPlet Java applet on this page (though probably not for much longer as Java Applets are going away), play it in a modern web browser via Inform 7 port, or download the file as V5 Z-code and run it under frotz or another Z-code emulator.

The game is rather limited and not intended to be taken seriously. I wonder what Three would have made of it. Besides a bonfire.
